La Petite Madeleine

As you must guess from our names, we are not pure local blood !
Half French & half English on one side, Norwegian on the other side, we used to be extensive globe-trotters. We then spent several years in Bordeaux before being charmed by Saint-Emilion and its area.

Véronique & Thor Inge

After spending several months to renovate an old wine farm, we would like to welcome you today to our spot of heaven.

We respect your privacy
and we are available to help you choose your programme.

We are all ears ! We pay attention to your needs !
So that your stay may be a total success !!!

"I was born in Cognac where I spent the beginning of my childhood. After that, I spent about 10 years abroad both in Europe and Asia. This gave me the opportunity to meet new cultures and to practise foreign languages (English, Spanish and a little Japanese).
A hectic 8 years speed pace in Paris (Business School then sales & marketing jobs) made me realise that I was looking for a more peaceful life.

I like meeting people and welcoming them.
I have always dreamed of owning my own Bed & Breakfast.

After several years in Bordeaux, I now have the feeling that I have finally found the place which
I had always been looking for :
La Petite Madeleine.

When, like me, one loves hiking and amazing landscapes, wine and its "making", beautiful stone architecture, good food,..., how can one resist?"

Véronique

"I started my career in Norway working for 8 years in the hotel and restaurant area.
I passed a Hotel Management diploma. And in addition to Norwegian, I speak English and French. And I understand Danish, Sweedish and a little German.

I have a huge interest in gastronomy and wine.
I love to cook for others and my friends say that it is something that I do well.
It is my passion for wine which brought me to France and to Bordeaux. That was about 10 years ago and since then I have had no reason to leave.

I have worked in my own wineshop and I have also organised tours for groups of foreign tourists wanting to discover Bordeaux and its area.

Today I want to introduce my "fellow citizens" to the French lifestyle ("l'art de vivre à la française") and to the local treasures of Saint-Emilion."
